The Santa Barbara Deck Chair
$450
Background:
In 1929, Al Redfield and his bride Sally sailed from New York to Panama aboard the “Santa Barbara”, one of the finest passenger steamships in the venerable Grace Line fleet. We’re glad they were so adventurous because that’s where Al discovered an incredibly comfortable, and practical, foldable rocking deck chair. The version of that chair, made by Al when he returned home over 90 years ago, served as the inspiration and model for the classic design we have developed at Old Sport Customs. We think you will agree; not only will it stand the test of time, but also become a favorite at the cottage, beach house, by the pool, or at your next tailgate party. The convenient folding ability of this chair makes for easy transportation and storage. Want to add a custom touch? Give us a call and we’ll talk about options.
Our Santa Barbara Deck Chairs are made of White Oak and have two finishes available: Natural and Dark Tobacco. The fabric slings are made from industry-leading Sunbrella® marine grade cloth, which is breathable, resists fading, and is both water and mildew resistant. This material is comfortable, durable, and great looking!
Fabric Colors:
Hemlock Tweed, Linen Tweed, and Redfield
Folded:
44” H x 25” W
